1.) Select Tools in the menu bar, then select “Account Settings” from the dropdown
2.) When the popup box appears, under the email tab, select "New".
3.) In the next popup box select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP. (Your account is considered a POP3 email account.) Then select “Next >” at the bottom.
4.) Check the checkbox at the bottom left that says “Manually configure server settings or additional server types” Then select “Next >”
5.) In this screen, leave the button marked next to “Internet E-Mail,” then select “Next >”
6.) In this screen, please fill out all information like the example shown.
Your name is your first and last name
Email Address is your full email address
Account type should remain as IMAP
Incoming mail server will be: mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail server will be identical to the incoming: mail.yourdomain.com
User Name *IMPORTANT: enter your FULL email address here
Password: enter the password for your email account here.
NOTE: DO NOT check the box for: Require logon using Secure Password Authentication. (SPA)
DO NOT click “Next >” – instead: Click the “More Settings …” button.
7.) In this box, select the “Outgoing Server” tab at the top. Make sure the checkbox is MARKED for “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”
The button below it should be marked for “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”
8.) Next click the “Advanced” tab
Incoming server (IMAP) should be: 143
DO NOT mark the checkbox for “encrypted connection (SSL)”
Outgoing server (SMTP): 25
Use the following type of encrypted connection should be: None
NOTE: if your tests at the end fail to SEND an email, then you may want to come back and change this port number from: 25 to: 2525
Select the “OK” button
9.) Once you have completed the above steps, your email account is ready to go! You may wish to select “Test Account Settings”, OR you may select “Next >” to exit the setup wizard.
10.) On this screen, select “Finish” and you’re done!
